Please visit the ASA website for list of full national rules and regulations.
Shooter of the year will consist of the top 4 qualifiers plus the state championship. You may shoot more than 4 and drop scores. Novice classes will be included.
A class that shoots 50 yards on the national level will also be a 50 yard class at the state level. It will be the ranges responsibility to set a 50 yard stake. If the range does not have a 50 yard set of stakes, arrangements can be made with the state director prior to the shoot to use a set of stakes for the 50 yard class.
You may change class at any time of the year with the exception of state. You will be allowed one move per year, and if that move does not work out you may immediately move back at the next shoot. If you stay in that change for more than one shoot, the move is final.
Youth will be allowed to shoot in adult classes if they choose to, but will be treated as an adult and will be held to all the same rules including move up rules in novice classes.
Please take note of all speed changes that ASA has made this year. You will be checked at state. You may be checked at qualifiers, but it will be at the host range’s discretion.
Move up rule for novice classes will be two wins or three top three finishes with at least five people on average in that class. Changes will be made after state due to SOY changes made this year, with the exception of the competition committee. The competition committee can move anyone at anytime based upon the shooter’s experience level or previous tournament history.
Oklahoma ASA will have all pro classes available. The cost for this is $30 ($15 range/$15 payback). A plaque will be given at state for these classes. All pro/am rules for these classes will transfer to the state level.
